Hello and welcome to our forum,

Unfortunately you will most likely have to rely on experiences people made, while keeping different but closely related ant species. At least I don't know anyone, who successfully kept an Amblyopone species for an extended period of time. Not to speak of starting a colony from a single queen...

Maybe you could further describe the issues you are currently facing, so we may be able to give advise or help identifying possible reasons for your problems.

\edit - this article is the most info-rich one I know and covers a lot on the general biology of Amblyopone: Click me!

So long,
Chris

swagman, who is a member here and in the ameisenforum has tried to keep Amblyopone australis, but he hadn't succes. But maybe his keeping journal helps you a little bit, e.g. it is useful to know that you could give her brood of other ant species for food.
